Stronger Minds for schools - Book Now

Stronger Minds is a free programme for young people in Lambeth which covers five topics to build emotional resilience, manage mental health and lift mood.

Most suitable for students in Years 6 through 12, it's only available until March 2018, so book now

The programme has been developed by a partnership of  Lambeth voluntary sector organisations and local young people who have been trained as Peer Facilitators.

Summer at St Michael's

Over the summer, in place of our weekly groups we're running a programme of trips for young parents and their children every Friday from 27 July to 31 August.

Our trips are always popular and include days out to a local farm, the seaside, a children's theatre, a wildlife park and picnics and yoga in local parks.

If you are a young parent aged 24 or younger in Lambeth, get in touch now to find out more. 020 8835 9570 or email admin@stmichaelsfellowship.org.uk

Young parents living on the edge

A young mum married at 20, has her first child at 22, the second before she’s 25. She ends up divorced at 30 then is tragically killed along with her new partner when she is just 36. Think you can imagine this woman and her life?

The woman being described was Princess Diana and she was being used to illustrate society’s preconceived ideas about young parents and the value put on young parenthood.

'Engaging through play' at the Windmill

We're starting a 6-week project at our Tuesday group for young Lambeth mums and dads who are either expecting or have a baby under 12 months.

In 'Engaging through Play' we're helping babies explore the world around them through different activities and toys, some of which we'll create during the session. The project will run from November up until Christmas.

New Young Fathers Forum

Our free weekly drop in forum for young fathers begins Wednesday 27 September. Sessions are held at Jigsaw and run from 2 pm - 4 pm.

"I’m keen to provide a space/platform to bring together the groups of young fathers I work with who don't meet the Caring Dads criteria, and young fathers I meet sporadically during outreach such as the drop-in sessions I attend at Brook on Thursdays," says St Michael's young father practitioner Arnold Sarfo-Kantanka.
