“Being a trustee at St Michael’s Fellowship has been a profoundly enriching experience.”

“It has given me exposure to a completely new sector…which I can help support with experience I have gained in a corporate environment.”

What you can bring

St Michael’s Fellowship have been helping vulnerable families for over 120 years.

We are looking for trustees with substantial professional experience working in depth with families in the children’s social care system to join our team to help us to continue supporting vulnerable families.

Diversity of ideas, expertise and backgrounds

Our board must represent the families we are trying to help. We want the trustees we recruit to help to make the best decisions, and these come when you bring together a diverse group of people with different skills and lived experiences.

All our new trustees are given training and support when they join us.

Trustees grow with us

We are looking to recruit trustees to support the board and an outstanding staff team in building an organisation that can expand to help many more vulnerable families and children in the years to come.

This is the perfect role for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. Can you work collaboratively with fellow trustees while having sound judgement and a practical approach?

If you can, this will be an opportunity for you to develop your leadership skills while being part of a team that changes families’ lives.

If you would like to talk to us informally about being a trustee, please email Sue, our director, to set up call – sue@stmichaelsfellowship.org.uk

Below is our application pack. If you have a particular area of specialism where you can offer more focused support, please highlight this in your application.

Help us keep families together

We are so proud of our team’s work, helping keep children safe whilst treating parents with fairness and respect. They are a passionate team every day working to give children a brighter future by supporting their parents. This could be at one of our three residential family centres or in the community; St Michael’s supports the day-to-day challenges of parenting and ultimately keeps families together.
