Consultant Practitioner

Join St. Michael’s Fellowship at a pivotal moment of change.

St. Michael’s Fellowship is evolving.

We are reshaping our residential and outreach services into a fully integrated family assessment and support pathway, designed to provide high-quality, relationship-based work with families while delivering robust, evidence-informed assessments for courts and local authorities.

Our residential parenting assessments remain at the heart of what we do—but we are strengthening how we work:

· clearer professional roles

· stronger practice frameworks

· greater continuity for families

· a renewed focus on quality, reflection and impact

We are building a service that is:

· relational and trauma-informed

· analytically rigorous

· confident in its professional voice

This is an opportunity to be part of something purposeful, helping shape a service that makes a real difference in the lives of children and families

Consultant Practitioner – Practice & Quality

Salary range: £29,000-£31,000 (depending on experience)

We are creating a Consultant Practitioner role to act as the practice expert across our residential and outreach services.

You will:

· lead reflective practice and group supervision

· support complex cases and practice dilemmas

· work alongside Assessing Social Workers to strengthen analysis

This is not a line management role.

It is about influence, credibility and professional leadership.

· is recognised as a strong practitioner

· can challenge and support in equal measure

· brings depth of experience in working with families

· is committed to anti-oppressive and reflective practice
